Sorry to trouble you David, but how does one go about creating area-based map games. I can create point-based games, but want to develop one where students have to identify a country (area) as opposed to a city (point).

    Gregger:

This is an old topic here on the Community Page.

David was able to make the area games you describe in his original version of this site. But to make game-making available to the rest of us, he was unable to extend the area format to all. The dot system was adopted as a compromise--a workable solution. So all the area/fill games on the site are from David's original set.

Now, David is considering several possible new game types for the members to make. The area/fill games are among these. He won't be able to do all the suggested things, so you might want to voice your opinion. Check out the following threads on the community page:

    "New Game Types - Poll"

"New Categories - Your Input needed"

Thanks so much for the clarification. With the hope that areally-based quizzes can be offered, I will enjoy working with the point-based maps.
