Tiger Woods might be the King of the PG circuit of golf but "Tiger" Tickman is King of the 600 Club at PG Games. Anyone who has played any of his 600 game courses knows that your mouse is sometimes headed straight down the fairway only to land in a sand trap or in the rough. To get an eagle or a birdie or even par, you've got to play his courses several times to go on to the Masters. Tickman can always be found at the community clubhouse welcoming new members, giving encouragement to other gamers and High 5-ing a new game when it is deserved. That is why you will often find a tournament called "The Tickman Challenge " He is one of the Masterminds of GameFellas and has a high following at Tickman's Treasures. 600 Games has set a new PAR at PG!

Thanks guys. It is always appreciated to get good comments from my friends and fellow game-makers.

Niklas is only a few games behind me, and will be at 600 before long. In fact, I'm sure that he has MORE than 600 games already, but that he has a number held in a backlog reserve.

For those of you who don't know, Niklas and I have long abided by a limit of posting no more than 2 games per calendar day. We can post again only after the date in our time zone has changed. So we might wind up posting a third game in 15 hours, but only if it is the next day for us. The "Tick-Nick" (or simply, "TiNi") Accord has rarely been violated, and only by accident.

We follow this pattern so we don't crowd other game makers off page 1 with a flood of our games posted over a short period. It's not really meant to limit us in total games, and it doesn't.

I've been here almost 2 years; Niklas, a bit longer. If we had reliably posted 1 game a day, we'd both be over 700 by now.

The TiNi does benefit us, though. Game-making can be streaky. By maintaining backlogs, we have some buffer against long periods in which we post no games. There is almost always at least one game from each of us on page 1, which is not a bad thing for us.

And of course, posting in this way helps us in that our games (along with everyone elses' games) stay on page 1 longer than they would otherwise. Not much sense if Niklas posted 15 games and I did the same in one day. Even if nobody else posted in that week, we'd each have had 5 games slip by almost unnoticed.

There is a risk that someone else will beat us to posting one of our backlogged games, but it is a small one, and one we're willing to take. In practice, the one most likely to beat me to a game is Niklas, and I'm the one most likely to beat him to a game. This has happened, but not often.

So does Niklas really have 'only' 589 games? Of course not, he's certainly over 600 already, just as I was when I was at 589.

Still, it will be a noteworthy occasion 11 Niklas games from now.
