It's soon time for a major update of PurposeGames.com.
In addition to a design facelift, these are some of the features that will be made available:
Groups
- Groups, the possibility of having a collection of friends or students join a public or private group to chat / compete in local tournaments.
- Tournaments, each group comes with the ability of hosting tournaments, created by the group admin / moderators
- Group Leaderboard - the best player of the group tournament becomes the reigning champ of the group
- Group news and discussions are available within the group pages so that any group conversation is available for group members only - 1 discussion forum per group
Tournaments, Ratings & Leaderboards
- The site wide tournament remains, now with a point system to keep track of who's the overall leader
- Tournament archives are introduced incl. a "my tournament status"
- A site wide player ranking as well as a contributor ranking that shows who's the best player
The game creation engine remains the same (with an important bugfix for multiple choice games, that re-sorted themselves after saving them) as do the possibility of playing games of course, with minor changes to existing functionality to become a bit better than now - random game jump fixed, back / forward navi between games fixed, tags comma separated instead of the awkward space separator etc etc.
Profile pages
- ATH's are re-introduced (a list of your all time highs)
- Group invitations and memberships can be administrated from your profile page
- The possibility to delete unwanted comments and obsolete conversations on your message board
- More stats available than before
