Some of the PG members (especially Dal and I) have long advocated that we be able to do site searches on the tags associated with the games.
You can use the most common tags which are listed on the left side of the games page, but even the least common tags there (indicated by smaller text) seem to have more than 3 pages of games. Tags less common than that do not appear. So if you wanted to find a game on invertebrates, it's not there. And since a site search won't turn up a game unless the word is in the title, you are out of luck.
Unless you use the following workaround, which is apparently not common knowledge.
What you need to do is a Google search. Or really, two separate searches.
Search for (in this case):
purposegames tag invertebrate
AND
purposegames tag invertebrates
(You have to search the plural separately: you get two different sets of results)
The result is a short list of sites, and usually the first one (or one indented under it) is a link to an actual PurposeGames page with the games shown by picture and name, in the familiar PG format.
While this is not as good a solution as tags being in the PG site search, it is good enough to use until some future update brings that to us.
What this means is:
1)[Good News]: you can search via Google for whatever type of game you like and find it here at PG, provided it exists and is appropriately marked.
2)[Bad News]: I should really go check the tags on all my games to make sure they're accurate and complete...ouch!
Bear in mind it is important to put the term purposegames into the search list or you'll get thousands of results. And put the term tag in to help pare away forum comments and so on.
Certainly be sure to realize that plurals and other word variants, combos and derivatives must be searched separately (i.e., Asia & Asian)
