In the new PurposeGames update, the favorites were removed. Now you have no way to remind yourself what your favorite games were. You can "Like" a game, but that is for the creator to see how many "Likes" their game has. I had over 290 favorites before the update and would be happy if the function came back.

    Thanks,

Out of those 290, how many of them did you give either a 4 or a 5 star rating? All those have become liked games now.
You find your likes (probably many of the ones you favorited) in the games view under "my likes".

My point is, many of the games you favorited is probably there if you rated them as well.

EDIT: I'm considering adding the possibility of "play lists" which will be a good replacement for favorites. Until then, likes is the closest thing to a replacement for now.

One thing you can do is add them as favorites in your browser and make a folder. I did it once to keep tracks of my lost ATH's.

…And the upcoming "Playlist" feature will probably be a more that adequate replacement for the Favorites.

See the discussion in this thread:

I think it will allow you to do everything you now do with favorites, and more.

I would vote for some way of having playlists/favourties being reinstated as I was using them to practice difficult games

Actually likes does work well - just took me a bit of time to find it.

one issue with the "likes" button as a direct replacement for the favorites, is that some (many) of us have given HIGH ratings to hundreds (or in some instances probably thousands) of worthy games, meaning that now we have 25+ pages of "liked" games...

In my case, I have 75 pages of likes. But then, I've been here for awhile...

yea, and I don't even want to KNOW how long Mak's list is, since I seem to recall that he's made an effort to rate games more or less fairly often when he plays them...

Well, as I mentioned before, I'm developing a play list concept. The favorites you had can be reinstated as a private or public playlist once it is in play.

It is, however, not finished yet.

And again see the discussion in this thread:

So it will all be better eventually. We just need to be a little patient. After all, David just introduced the shape games, which were a long-time wish. So it will be here and will (as I understand it) not only be better than the "likes" but better, and more flexible than the old "faves".

Keep in mind that we have to thank David for the site. You can't just be really cynical and say that you are really annoyed about the favorites being lost, and David being really slow about incorporating playlists. It was great of David just to make the site and let everybody use it. (I am not talking to anybody in particular, just everybody.)

    Chafawa:

Exactly. David has done a great job creating and updating this site. He's responded to reasonable requests, and added many great features that weren't asked for. I can wait for the playlists.
