Do you use your group's forum? (6 posts)

A recent discussion with another PG member left me with a question I can't properly answer. So I thought I'd ask the general membership.

Do you use your group forum?

Every group HAS a forum area, but mostly it seems that it either isn't used, or has very little use. By a little use, I mean maybe one or two threads, like an intro message at the time it was created or a "Hey, when's the next tournament?" message. Judging by the groups I belong to, a handful have relatively active forums, and about 1/3 have moderately active forums. The rest have forums that are empty or little used.

Do you administrate or belong to a group that has an active forum? Do you use it personally? If not, were you even aware of its existence?

I rarely use my group forum because there's not really anybody to respond to...

The group forum its nice to have if there is information about the group or a tournament, but I think its a little bit hidden, and I admit I dont check them very often, and answers too late on comments.. It would be nice with some kind of notification of there is a message in the group forum, maybe in the new update?

    Alcyone:

That's a good point. The group forum is an obscure beast. Most groups are tournament-oriented, and most people access groups through the T page, not the homepage. That makes the forum dang near invisible. There are a few discussion-oriented groups that use the forum, but most are tournament oriented.

I have forwarded your suggestion to David.
