I have made a number of challenges, and I think you are right that they predate Huggie's.
Mine have mostly been to have a little fun with minor site glitches, as when the counter showed Adam as having made a negative number of games. So I featured one of his games in a challenge. There was another built around an "invisible player", and I think that involved one of Braniest's games.
I have done a couple since then, but I haven't been doing this regularly.
I don't have a problem with you or Huggie or anyone else borrowing the concept.

The main point is still the same: I'm not offended by Huggie18 or alPINIA or anyone else making private challenges. Why should I have all the fun? I guess if it becomes a problem on the site, David will shut it all down. I'm guessing that's not going to happen.

I don't mind alPHINA if you:
Create games for the challenge
or use someone elses games.
Because, that is something completely different to mine.

Just ignore it, and make a better challenge (with better games, or more games). Someone else's challenge doesn't make people not play yours.
Gee, maybe all Alpina needs to do is just offer two nods in the challenge, or maybe two ratings. That wouldn't be the exact same thing...
