I do not share his view about what people should write about. If it is posted under 'General' it could be anything, I don't think you mess it up with your question. I suggest that Huggie18 just doesn't read the topics he isn't interested in.
There is quite a mix of people here at PG, everything from young students to retired people. I heve looked at many profiles during my time here and I think that the number of teachers might be over average, but since many people don't share their occupation I could be wrong.
People seem to come from all over the world with a slight overweight to Sweden and maybe Norway at the moment.
I hope you will like it here, I certainly do.

Play games on the main page. Check out the Leaderboard to get into the tournament. Click on the Games page tab to see the most-played games. Then click on the sorters on the left to see the highest-rated games, the most recent games, the ones most marked as favorites. Check the various categories (science, history, geography, etc.) and sort them in the same ways.
You've already discovered the Community Page. Come back to it from time to time to report problems, or to suggest new features. Or new games.
Use the search feature to look for games in areas that interest you. If you find a game you like, it will have a link to its author. Click on it, and then view his/her profile. Find the link that takes you to that author's games. And sort as before.
Post your picture or some symbolic picture as an avatar. Make friends. Give respectful nods to people you like. Make your own games. Comment on other games.
Most of all, enjoy yourself.
