Posted: 2008-05-25 00:54:45 # Yeah the General category is for genral stuff about PurposeGames like other Community posts eg. Who is the best player is General stuff.

Posted: 2008-06-12 15:17:02 # Because it doesn't concern you guys; if somebody wants to comment on this topic let them. Stop hijacking the board with your comments. Don't care about them, serve no purpose other than to be self-righteous, they are irritating.
Posted: 2008-06-12 15:18:27 # If people aren't interested in this topic, then silence is the most effective protest. If people do want to talk about this, let them and stop butting in.
Posted: 2008-06-15 06:16:53 # Calm down and shut up. This is a website called PurposeGames not Celebrity Gossip. Go somewhere else if you do and delete your account on PurposeGames.

Posted: 2008-06-20 23:05:48 # General is for anything that anyone wants to talk about. Is that so hard to understand? I made a post about movies and music once, and some of the best players on this website replied to it, even this website's creator replied to it. Let people do what they want even if you don't like it or find it dumb. Telling someone to shut up is not the way to go about anything. In fact, it's quite rude and immature.
Posted: 2008-07-01 11:21:25 # I don't know, and please do not ignore me. Do something else look it up on Wikipedia.
Posted: 2008-07-01 15:02:26 # None, if I don't miss anything:

Posted: 2008-07-01 16:50:18 # @Huggie: This isn't ignoring you, I just disagree with you. Your opinion isn't law, and I am not going to pander to you, a hyper-sensitive control-freak. If you don't like the thread, don't read it. Apparently I can't stress that enough.
P.S. Based on your handling of this dispute (petty, rude) you don't give people much reason to respect your opinions.
Posted: 2008-07-13 08:36:45 # @ Huggie18:
The irony here is that *you* are the one most responsible for this thread's continued vigor. Five of the 17 (now 18) posts are yours. At least seven more (now 8) are in direct response to your posts. Others (including several older posts and the recent one by alPINA)probably would not have been made had the topic been allowed to age naturally and sink to the bottom of the list.
The fact is that as posts acquire more comments, people will want to look at them to see what all the discussion is about, and they will want to add to the thread. At that point it becomes self-feeding.
In such a situation, you are trying to get the last word in, and the last word is "Stop". That's never going to work for you. Just a fact of life. I've seen it over and over again on the net in discussion groups on many topics. It's just human nature.
And yes, there is the possibility that someone will figure out that this type of thread ticks you off, and therefore knows how to "push your buttons". And such a person could just keep floating the game up by periodically posting just to annoy you. If you don't start ignoring this kind of thing, you are just setting yourself up to be a victim. This too, is very common in internet discussions.
Had you taken your own advice and not added to (started, really) the argument, this thread would've been off the first page by now, or close to it.
My advice is just ignore it ("let a sleeping dog lie"), and it will disappear on its own eventually, as all threads do. If people are trying to "bait" you and you ignore it, they will tire of the game and quit. If you keep posting, you will encourage more comment, ant the game will just stay in the limelight for a longer time.
Given the number of postings now in the thread, it will probably be resurrected at some point. If that happens, ignore it, and it will again go away.
Remember, you've got way better things to do here at PurposeGames than to get into endless arguments.
For example: what's your latest game?
