David has always been able to fix these things in the past, and I think that will be the case again.
Posted: 2007-12-14 01:57:05 # This has happened twice now with games from amazing.
I cannot say for sure what triggers this.
The game is still there, the background used is not. That's why it shows up in the list and then gives an error if you try to play it.
I'll see if I can retrieve the backgrounds from amazing or from the backup of the filesystem.
Thanks for alerting me about this.

I was able to recreate it from the backup.
Anyways, I'd be very interested in knowing if this has happened to anyone else since it shouldn't really be possible to end up in this state (with a disappearing background) as was the case here.
Thanks.

I see something similar sometimes in the game-making process. I'm not sure if it is just due to different iterations of saving a game, or if it happens only when I make a preliminary game and then delete the background. If it happens again, I'll try to take better notes, if you think that's at all relevant.
I should say that I've never lost a game this way: the later save is always there. Otherwise, it's like the situation with Amazing's games. I can see the game, but there's no icon. If I click on the link, there's either nothing, or a blank field full of dots.
