And two more duplicates today: "Antartica [sic] Physical Map"

and another Canadian Capitals game.

The first one is really a triplicate game according to the comments.

I can't find that game (1685). Even the most recent as of now is #1683.
So to what game do you refer? Was it something deleted between 11:24:15 and now?
Posted: 2007-06-13 14:34:42 # Yes, 1685 is gone. It was the standard map of Europe with four or five countries.
Posted: 2007-06-13 14:43:58 # These are similar, with more countries:

I'm sure there are more of the kind out there.

I don't see any of these from the last list.
Posted: 2007-09-27 13:35:29 # Can we also include games on this list that are similar but in a different language?
I personally think this site should be english games only to prevent things like all those european countries and all those colours in about 10 different languages. It kinda clutters the site up I think.
But perhaps the reason to have them is to learn new languages.
So I would like to hear your opinions. What do you guys think?
Posted: 2007-09-27 13:38:08 # Another 1 dot game btw:

Posted: 2007-09-27 14:37:21 # GoldenGhost:
About the international games, I definitely like all of them. Maybe there should be a category for games in different languages though. (Might be a good topic for a separate thread! So if you want to go into this, please don't use this one.)
People invest lots of work to create these games (in most cases), so it would be a little harsh to simply delete them. If they are sorted into the "Foreign"-category to-be however they don't have to show up on the front page (under "Latest Games Added by Members").
Posted: 2007-09-27 17:07:14 # I would hate to see this game site limited to English only. In fact this site originated in Sweden and I am surprised that the language of choice was not Swedish. English is a second language to many people throughout the world and gives us a common denominator, but I would like to see people create games in all their respective languages. It is fun to see how well we can do internationally. Recently I used a Dutch website for a project on Rome and the Vatican. Everything was in Dutch and I was surprised that I could follow the language and figure out most ideas using English, German and French. This site is a library of creativity from simple to fantastic. Who is to say that a child's creation is not a "masterpiece" in his or her eyes!

And it looks like a Gary Larson "Far Side" Cartoon to boot, so probably copyrighted...
Posted: 2007-09-30 10:29:42 # I guess it is worth mentioning at this point that there is now a feature that allows you to report a game. There are 3 categories that can be selected from (offensive material, copyrighted material used, and "Not serious. Very lame game." And there is a text box for specific description or additional considerations.
I guess that will pretty much supplant this thread.
But I do suspect ther will be occasion to discuss the relative merits of various games.
