The game engine has been updated. See change log below.

    - BUG CORR: Clear hint on each dot after 3 misses. Annoying that dots with same answer stays marked with a hint-color. Games that uses a lot of the same answers will benefit greatly from this.
    - BUG CORR: Made game tags editable in the game creation module. A glitch in the logic made it not so before.
    - Removed the legend from the game creation module. Only disturbing.
    - Disabled the save button when performing save to avoid duplicate save attempts that sometimes leads to erroneous duplicate dots showing up in the game.
    - Added a checkbox to turn off hint in game. Can be useful if you want to make a game like the Monza game or even more so the Snow White game.
    - Made dot hint (when missing 3 times in a row) purple to distinguish it better from the other dots.
    - Added an advanced option of letting game creator decide how many of the dots shall constitute a game (fabianruiz suggestion in thread http://www.purposegames.com/topic/153). This opens up for having for example 30 dots in a game of which you only use 10 dots per game, but with a random set of dots being valid per game.
    - Added possibility of turning off sound in a game

Also, the game comments are now sorted in descending order.

As usual, let me know if you find any problems or bugs from this update. The instructions on the game creation page is updated to reflect the change in the game engine.

    Enjoy.

I already used the new options and modified some of my games (Eagle's Sight, How Lucky are you? and Binary Time).

I bet they are better games now.

    David:

    Thanks.

I used the new edit tags improvement, and it works. I tried it on my Treasure Island game (http://www.purposegames.com/game/1023), and was able to delete the typo that first prompted me to mention this problem in a previous thread.

Thanks again, and I'll be looking at your other upgrades soon; they all sound good. Great work.

The purple hint is a great improvement. Makes it much easier to find the dot.
As to the sound, it is annoying that you have to turn it off every single time you play a game. Perhaps you can come up with a better solution.
And please change the numbers of the game comments. It is very confusing that the latest comment is numbered as #1.

Dan, you're right. I'll look into that.

I'm not entirely comfortable with the switched order of the comments, though having to step through to the last page to see what was written most recently isn't that appealing either. This has nothing to do with the numbering though, you're still correct about that.
