Site Glitch: Another game that freezes (3 posts)

    For a long time, we have known that there is a game that freezes,the "Capitals of the World" game

    Now it seems that one of my recent games has the same problem.

    The first game listed has 190+ dots. The second only has 111.

    David: Is there any chance these can be fixed?

    Anybody/everybody: do you know of other games which do this? How many dots do they have?

    My experience is that the freeze [for me that always occurs with an annoying beeping after selecting the penultimate dot], is something that happens unpredictably in any game with lots (85+?) of dots, and the more dots the likelier. It is most annoying, because those are precisely the games in which the player has made the greatest investment.

    I do hope David is able to isolate and fix this problem!

    Clearly the problem is intermittent, as you can see that your game in question has been played 12 times successfully, and I have definitely noticed that a freezing incident does not count as a completed play.

    So maybe it happens not with a set number of dots, but with a probability that increases with the number of dots. And maybe a non-linear increase?

    Interesting.

    Does anyone else know of specific games that this has been seen in?
