Nor should we neglect a game Tassos produced some time back, in which many good links are listed:

http://www.purposegames.com/game/all-my-faves-quiz/info

The game itself has many of his favorite links; the game comments have even more.

Very public spirited of you to post this information. I award you a "Virtual" Pentaster. Since this is a posting, not a game, I can't award you a real one. But I also gave you a respectful nod.
Good job.

Hi Guys,

Since this Community is full of learning-lovers, I just had to share these links with all of you guys.
David, this is not spam, ok? :)
The following are full FREE lectures (video/audio) from universities such as UC Berkeley and M.I.T. And for those of us into Physics, I totally recommend "The Mechanical Universe", also free below:

UC Berkeley = http://webcast.berkeley.edu/courses.php

M.I.T. = http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/web/courses/av/index.htm

Mechanical Universe = http://www.learner.org/resources/series42.html

Learner.org = http://www.learner.org/resources/browse.html

Enjoy and have fun learning!

Um, for the purpose of which game in particular? There are a number that might cover that region.

But of course, this gets to a larger issue: When two (or sometimes more) countries (or subnational entities or wannabe countries) claim an area, how is it addressed? The general usage here is that whoever has actual control of the area is credited as owning the place. But there are exceptions:

David's own South America game has the Falklands included as part of Argentina (they are currently British territory). There are competing games about Israel/Palestine. One has all the land in one country, the other has it reversed.

My oldest game on the site is "Disputed Territories". There was no shortage of material for that game. In fact, I only used a minority of the possible places, trying to put in the bigger disputes and some of the odder ones. See:

http://www.purposegames.com/game/765/info

Of course, there is nothing to stop you from making a game showing it "your" way.

Good luck, and good games.

Tickman

awesome i am a new member because of one map i am good at but even if i dont use this site everyday ive always wanted an avatar of a small atomic potato. I tried making one for another forum, it stinks because i have to make it a .gif file to use it and it gets too pixely. If you could make me an avatar of a potato with an atomic explosion coming from it, that would be great. Your avatar is great, btw. I can make people userbars also.
