My five are:
1)china-very beautiful land, beautiful people, and of course the wall of china
2)France, once again beautiful people, places, and absolutely love their language
3)Syria- Awesome scenery, and just overall cool place
4)Australia- Lots of animals, pretty area around around you overall and i love their accents
5)Last but no least Canada-people seem really happy up there

Congratulations to all who placed in the top ten including my friend CarpeDiem who stunned me by sneaking ahead of me while I wasn't paying attention! Actually I think I'd put the best times up I was capable of so it may not have mattered anyway. Well done.

With the return of the great Equestenebrarum to the GameFellas "family", we have a sort of leftover game which did not make it into the Pentathlon competition, but is on the same subject.

Luckilly, that one game is a very, very challenging one. Perhaps more challenging than the Pentathlon itself.

So in celebration of the return, armed with a great challenge, and breathing a sigh of relief that the Pentathlon has ended, we launch a new GameFellas Competition:

Play Equestenebrarum's "The Biggest Cities of the People's Republic of China", which you can find on the main page or here:

GameFellas have not yet worked out some of the details, but we can tell you that the competition will last for AT LEAST one full week from today (September 6) and that the winner will take home AT LEAST 2 respectful nods. There will be a slight change in the protocol.

Niklas will be away from his computer at the appointed time, so Tickman will substitute as scorekeeper. This may change the posting of results by a space of several hours, but it should be between 7:00 AM and 12:00 Noon, Eastern Daylight Time.

Canada is my country, but here are the rest:

1) United States of America - Free, strong, prosperous, beautiful, the city on a hill to the world. First country to build itself on Enlightenment beliefs backed by a constitution. God bless America!
2) United Kingdom - Infinitely impressive history, including WWI and WWII, redefined imperialism and left East Africa, India, Hong Kong, North America and Australia immeasurably better than they were before.
3) Poland - Allied with Thatcher, Reagan and most importantly the Pope to kill communism in Poland, and spark the collapse of the Evil Empire. Strong Catholic tradition gives Poles a solid identity.
4) Republic of China (Taiwan) (yes it's a real country!) - defies the autocratic behemoth that is the People's Republic of China, and has maintained a better economy and much freer society than its sibling. A force for democracy.
5) Israel - a bulwark against Islamism, Arabism, and other corrosive anti-democratic ideologies. Founded as a Jewish state, it has remained the most accepting state in the Middle East.
