In my Biostates of the USA game, you ask:
"Man! What kind of map is this?"
It's from the US Forest Service. The boundaries (except the national ones) are natural ones, corresponding to the large ecosystem provinces (mostly with reference to plant communities).

Briantravelman, thanks for all the new games and for competing aggressively in them. I don't know if I can match your latest Seychelles score. As for the labels in the background of that game, I had the same problem when looking for maps for my Washington counties game as well as my other ones. What I did was to edit the image using windows picture and fax viewer. I just erased the names from the background and di d some repairs to the boundary lines and then the image was ready to use.
