You're right, we game creators have no real control over the size of our backgrounds, though we can control how much of that limited space we take up. Putting all of Virginia on one map is a challenge.

I discovered the fact about the reconsumed Independent Cities soon after making the game, but decided to wait to correct it, at least until someone pointed it out. If I remove the dots, though, the lines will still be there - hmm. Changing the background is not a high priority right now.
