Thanks for your comments on my UK landmarks, i have correctly named Blackpool now!

However i would have to disagree about Alton Towers being too far north, if you look at it in google maps, it is only just below the ear of 'the pig' of Wales...

I'll have to have a go on your games now :)

Thanks for your response. I'm sorry you've run into people who get too defensive about their games in response to error-spotting. But please be aware, that's not most people, and certainly not any of the major game-makers so far as I know. Most will either make the suggested change (if possible), or explain why it isn't necessary (or can't be done).

Re: "Jolly Old" England, I guess that comes down to a matter of taste. Some people like the jokes I (occasionally) put into games, some do not.

But in deference, I have at least changed the game to read:

>("Jolly Old") England

Instead of

>Jolly Old England

Not much of a change, but it sets it aside a little, so it isn't so much an "official" part of the clue.

Thanks for your remarks about my games. I don't think I've even been "damned" by another member for making a lot of games, but I run into the same problem: I often find that I game I wanted to make has already been made. Niklas has beaten me to some, and I've beaten him to some. In at least in one case, by less than an hour. It's a friendly competition, of course.

But if you really can't think of anything, feel free to drop me a line: I've got something of a backlog of ideas, and can probably spare a few ideas that you might like.

Thanks again for your comments, and I hope you continue to enjoy the site.

Regarding your comment on my game "50 Most Populous Subnational Entities":

The "Jolly Old" in front of "England" is just for fun, a bit of a joke. The phrase "Jolly Old England" is a fairly common one (or used to be anyway), so I use it to lighten the game a bit. The rest of the game is a bit hard to get through. I don't add humor to all my games (where am I going to come up with 500+ jokes?), but do it on occasion.

I hope that doesn't bother you.

Thanks for playing my game and for the comments.

If you have other comments (especially if you find errors in my games), please let me know. Most authors here are quite willing to fix mistakes if possible (it isn't always possible w/o deleting a game, but at least it can be noted in game descriptions or comments). When you get over 100 games, it becomes progressively more difficult to find mistakes on your own.

Again, my thanks.

Good Luck, and Good Games,

The weather over my heard is usually a bit unusual. Since this area around Cincinnati has a high percentage of electrical storms and lightning strikes I think my game ideas come from what they call "brain-storming"! Have you seen the three "Bee Games"? If you like puns, you won't be stung playing those.

"Jam sandwich" came from a list of British slang researched on Wikopedia. I found this was very interesting and decided to make a game. The description evidently came from a black stripe between white sections.
