Welcome back to Canada. To answer to your question, yes, I am from BC. As for Vancouver Island, I don't live there but that's where my parents grew up so I've been there a lot and much of it is a nature paradise as you guessed. Nelson must've been pretty good that way too but having an ocean nearby is a bonus.

in answer to your questions on ATH and Friends count.

Your friends count were off. It's now been fixed.
Your ATH-count is correct in the way we show ATH's for the dashboard page on the profile so far.
It's been set to only show ATH for games played more than 500 times and public and published games.

However, the 500-times rule seemed quite silly so I removed that to give a more accurate count. The games still need to be public and published though, and in doing so it shows you have 24 ATH's. (at the time of writing this.)
