I was surprised by a few of these, especially Germany. Very good approach. When a person has a choice of five, it is easy to get some wrong!

If you want to play more games with 2nd largest cities, try my 2nd Tier of Europe, Asia, Central- and South America and USA.

Cities or metro areas?
I think the second city in South Africa is Durban
(see census, for example, in htttp://world-gazetteer.com)
I miss Istambul in Europe!
