Sulawesi is not Celebes. This map is using the official names, not the English names. It's spelt Sulawesi not Sulawasi by the way.
And Borneo is Kalimantan.

Pollywog - New Guinea is the name of the whole island. Papua New Guinea is the name of the country on the Eastern half of the island of New Guinea - formerly a colony of Australia - now independent. Capital - Port Moresby.

If I'm not mistaken, New Guinea is a country on the other side of the island so-named in your game. The correct name for the Indonesian-held side of the island is Irian Jaya
