Argemone:
Andrewsarchus was a primitive hoofed mammal (Eocene in age). Its remains (except the skull) are fragmentary, but it may have been the largest land-based mammalian carnivore. It is not agreed as to whether or not it was a predator, scavenger, or some of each.
