There is a wealth of information and links about this information at Wikipedia's Genetic code article. The layout for this game is a modification of the chart you can find there.

For me this represents the core of possibly the most exciting scientific discovery ever. It is the essence, not only of our genetic heritage, but also of how a seed or fertilized egg becomes a plant, animal, or human being. DNA molecules which all look essentially the same, bear the instructions for creating a multitude of proteins in their vast diversity and building all of the structures of life. And it all occurs in the tiny cellular organelles called ribosomes, whose existence remains unknown to most people.

You can use this game to learn the code, but you don't have to learn the code to stand in awe of the elegance of this vital mechanism at the center of life's existence.
