The first 100 decimals of pi Quiz Information

I'll leave it to you then! I'm up for 1000 since I already know I can do it if I work at it. I think it might be best to go 5 or 10 digits at a time if we go that far though. A 1000 question game would be very difficult to make time for. As for 10 000, I'm not sure I can do that many.

I too got interested in memorizing the decimals, but I'm not as good as you (my record is 231 or something). Do you use any technique? I know about one where you transform the numbers to persons and you place them for excample in your house, but I haven't used it yet. A 10 000 digits version sounds a bit crazy, but if it works to save and continue, maybe I'll start to make a huge version.

Yeah, in my university days, I got interested in memorizing the number and I got involved in a contest which I won by recalling 1000 places. Since then, it's just a hobby/habit to occasionally revisit it and test my capacity to memorize. I can always pull out 100 digits but I only get to the 300-500 range once a year (usually march 14th). I didn't do it this year but with these games, maybe I'll go for it again.

Did any of you know the 100 first decimals before you started to play this game?

It takes more concentration to do it one digit at a time rather than 4 at a time as in Veejay's game. I could probably do it faster but I'll wait and see if there are any challengers.
