When someone "goes postal" at a school. Note: one of the incidents (Bath) was actually a bombing. Numbers in () refer to number killed and injured respectivley. The asterisk indicates the killer died as well [e.g., (3, 2, *)= 3 dead, 2 injured, killer killed]

As with the postal incidents, some of these are part on and part off school property (e.g., the spree starts elsewhere).
Note that some of these do not fit the usual pattern of disgruntled students. For examples:
In the Kent State incident, the shooters were National Guardsmen (who claimed self-defense and were aquitted).
In Orangeburg, the shooters were policemen (who were acquitted).
The Jackson State shooters were also policemen (no arrests were made)
In the Amish School incident, the gunman had no connection to the school.

This phenomenon is troubling, but by no means new.
