This is the second in a series of games featuring cities and towns in the US which are closely equivalent in population, based on the recently released data from the 2010 US Census.
I modified the National Atlas map found here:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:US_map_-_states.png
to include a legend identifying how the cities identified had changed in population since the 2000 Census. Although Worcester, MA & Providence, RI actually did experience a small population increase since 2000, I put them into the declining class along with Jackson, MS, because all three have had population declines since the last half of the 20th century when they once had more than 200,000 residents.
As you might imagine, though the populations of these cities are very similar, their characters vary widely.
