This may be the beginning of a series of games featuring cities and towns in the US which are closely equivalent in population, based on the recently released data from the 2010 US Census.
For this one, I modified the National Atlas map found here:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:US_map_-_states.png
to include a legend identifying how the cities identified had changed in population since the 2000 Census. Though Daly City, CA & Erie, PA showed almost identical small population declines since 2000, I put Erie into the declining class, because its population has been declining for decades, like that of Flint and South Bend, whereas this was the first decline for Daly City.
As you might imagine, though the populations of these cities are very similar, their characters vary widely.
