I think the Sarawat mountains are actually the Hejaz mountains.

In Memory of Sir Edmund Hillary (1919-2008).
A man who besides climbing Mt. Everest who among other things was the first man to stand on both poles and he did a lot for the Sherpa people of Nepal through the Himalayan trust which he founded.

Sarat al-Hejaz is the northern half of the range on the western edge of the Arabian peninsula. Sarawat Mountains is the name for the whole range, Jordan-Yemen. See:
