I saw its 3rd or 4th eruption in the 80's when I was on mount hood on a hiking trip as a kid. I could see Mount Saint Helens in the distance with a large smokey cloud hovering over the top of it.

I flew by Mount Saint Helens soon after the eruption. I would have liked to see it before it erupted. These mountains are really impressive and beautiful.
