BoboLo:
Thanks for the detailed comments.
Some of these are clear misspellings, others are variable.
I changed Quinghai to Qinghai: that one is obviously me just adding a "u" because I am "u"sed to doing so after a Q.
Instead of either Khanty-Mansii or Khanty-Mansia, it is now Khanty-Mansi, which seems to be the preferred form. I'm not sure if my original was a misspelling, or if I found it that way on a map or list I used to fill in names. In any case, I've changed it to correspond with other maps I've found.
Khabarovsk does not seem to include Primorye (Primorskii krai). The latter is indeed on the map, but it looks stubbier than it ought: a distortion in the original map, I am afraid. Not much I could do about that. I noticed a bit of distortion up in that corner on several boundaries: just a function of the particular type of projection, I guess.
And Karagandy is the province, Karaganda is the city.
Thanks again, and I'm glad you liked the game. I notice you made 100%, as per usual.

A very frustrating game - one sloppy mistake and it's all over! A couple of suggestions for an updated edition. It should be Qinghai rather than Quinghai. Also, the current map of Khabarovsk also includes Primorye (Primorskii krai), which would really upset the latter! A couple of questions, too. Is it Karaganda or Karagandy (perhaps Karaganda is just the name of the city). Also, Khanty-Mansii rather than Khanty-Mansia? I could be wrong, but it might be worth double-checking these. But a tremendous game; I really like it (even if it drives me around the bend!).

The indicated map has regions color-coded by size, which is useful. I redid the coloring for clarity.
What's up with the Democratic Republic of Congo?
The two regions shown are as of 2005. They are 4-colored because the Congo's 11 provinces are being reorganized into 26. Each of these two will then become 4 separate provinces. That is due to happen by February of 2009. When the change is finalized (if not already), these two regions will no longer be among the 50 largest in the world.

See the map here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Largest_World_Subdivisions_Area.png
The map has a GNU Free Documentation license, Version 1.2
Details:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:GNU_Free_Documentation_License
The closest thing Wikipedia has to an article on this topic is here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_largest_administrative_divisions_by_area
But it lists only regions of the 6 largest nations.
