The idea is to fiind the 50 elements by word association, and alternate meanings. They clues may refer to 1 or 2 letter words or alternate meanings of symbols, sometimes as fill in the blank responses.
I use the symbol '@' to indicate a blank space. This is because it is more visible than an asterisk or underlined space. In some cases there are 2 or 3 '@'s in a row. In those cases, they're all the same:
Example: Brit's goodbye: @-@
The answer would be Ta (Tantalum), used twice to make Ta-Ta.
Of course, that's not the clue I used for Tantalum...
