@ mano: I won't take you on regarding the putative outcomes of these battles, being not at all a civil war buff myself. I only took this on due to the inaccurate placements I discovered at prtgl31's original game, so I simply reiterated what was there, but improved the dot location.

Well, I would have to argue some of your "outcomes". Shiloh hill wasn't a union victory, and Antietam was a stalemate, with Lee's invasion halted, but the Union Army taking major losses. Lincoln called it a Union victory in order to issue the emancipation proclamation, (which piece of propaganda did not really free anyone).

A redo of the game by prtgl31 with locations corrected.
There are two fewer battles shown here due to the proximity of Stones River to Murphreesboro, and Malvern Hill to Cold River and Petersburg.
Niklas and tickman both have good Civil War battle games on a map which focuses on the section of the United States where the war was fought.
