Nice game, unfortunately Rene Descartes was French, he only visited the Netherlands; Hudson was British, as far as I know he hasn't visited the country.

As noted Rene was born French but Descartes spent 20 years in the Netherlands and his major works were published there. Hudson was British but his discoveries in the New World were made for the Dutch Colony of New Amsterdam (New York).
