Simple... identify each of the 3 common engine configurations used in modern cars... (note the use of "production racing" versions of each car pictured...) ;)

yea, Mid engine is quite common- far more so (in my experience) than rear engine... most Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, and almost all other exotic/hyperexotic sportscars are mid engine... (Porsche Carrera GT, porsche 918 concept, Mclaren F1, Mclaren MP4, Bugatti Veyron, etc....) but don't think it's limited to only extremely expensive vehicles... the Toyota MR2 (changed to MRS for the latest varient) (which stood for Mid(engine) Rear (wheel drive) 2 seater) was sold in the United States until just a few years back, and it cost less than $40,000... And, the UK happens to have a certain company (does Lotus sound familiar to anyone? ;)) which makes very fast 200 hp midengine cars for about $60,000... plus, used mid-engine sportscars such as the Pontiac Fiero, or the 1980's era Toyota MR2, can be found for very little, often less than $2,000.... So, yea... it's quite common, in truth... (and really quite awesome... better by tons than front or rear... why else would most LMP cars (and I believe all F1 cars) have a midengine set-up?) Ok, lesson is over! :P
