If we "look to these examples" unfortunately we see many other areas of the world with problems of current, past, or potential future conflict. In most cases, there are conflicting territorial but not cultural claims as in the case of Macedonia. Most importantly, the names in most cases are not technically the same; they only contain one common key term, e.g. Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The solutions currently debated for the Macedonian naming dispute also revolve around adding such a term of differentiation.

Very educational indeed! It reminds you that the Greek-Macedonian naming situation is by no means an exception. The Greeks should look to these examples an accept that a country very well can have the same name as a region of another country.
