That's a problem.
The game has 80 plays, and if you reset the high scores, you lose all of that. I don't think you want to go there.
OTOH, if you put the dot in, and don't reset the high scores, it's not fair to people who play later. That's especially true in a game with only a handful of dots.
So, I think you should just leave it as it is.
You could do a later, more expansive game: include the dot, add N.Z. territories, and maybe some other features.
