Place the various distances or sizes at the appropriate spot on the logarithmic scale. Unlike Level 1, YOU have to place the units of measure which are above the line, and there are more things to size.

Quick link to the easier Level 1 version

Mano, it was an intentional difference. Here in the one with more dots I wanted to use two of the same atoms' whole and nucleus sizes. Since the nucleus of a Hydrogen atom is a single proton, I chose Helium in this game as the small atom example. The intended surprising fact is that space occupied by the electron cloud of the tiny Helium atom is still orders of magnitude larger than just the nucleus of the much more massive Uranium atom.

One of my favorite stories from science is that of the gold foil experiment, about which researcher Ernest Rutherford wrote, "It was almost as incredible as if you fired a 15-inch shell at a piece of tissue paper and it came back and hit you."

very nice game! :) only one thing I noticed... where you had "diameter of hydrogen atom" in the first game, you now have "diameter of helium atom" was that intentional??? or accidental??? or doesn't it matter???

A natural companion, I think, in relating (some) of these measurements to the wavelength and frequency of electromagnetic radiation, is tickman's Electromagnetic Spectrum (Advanced).
