This marvelous game is currently featured in the the African Perspectives tournament at Slaaty's Slipstream through the end of October 2009. Register in this open group to have your time on this game count in that tourney.

There is an "a" missing in Carthagenian,
otherwise a very nice, and challenging, game. 5 stars!

The map is wonderful, but North Africa is very confusing. The empires overlap so broadly that it is almost impossible to point to any of them. Also Pre-Helenistic Egypt isn't shown, and can't be: the situation changed over millenia (not mereley centuries, and is to complex to be represented on a map like this).

So I have tried to show some of this on the map, but it is not as clear as I would like. I think this may call for another game or two from me in the future.

In the meantime, do a site search for "Egypt": there are some games on ancient Egypt already on this site.
