More to the point, I'm unlikely to find another map on this topic. And I'm not artistic enough to make one for myself.

It does seem to have some more diagramatic (v.s. strictly cartographic) features. Still, I don't see any major inaccuracies. Things certainly look different in the polar perspective than in (for example) the standard Atlanto-centric Mercator projection.

And the projection used makes a great deal of difference. It is fair to say that most maps on this site (or anywhere) are not very accurate. They all have flaws due to the limitations of the projection.

This has led people to try to create "politically correct" maps which address the flaws of the standard Mercator. Of course, they introduce their own problems. The best projection is a globe, but we can't do that here.

So as an approximate representation, largely schematic, I think this map is OK.
