@ Paul, I came across the idea for this game by accident looking for something else about the Triads. There is a tea master called Teaparker (Chih Jung Sien) who wrote a book on the Triads in 1985 called 'ye hu'. I could not find the book anywhere, probably because Teaparker only writes his books in Chinese. The source for this game is from Teamasters Blog. Perhaps the book could be found by writing Teaparker directly at his blog. Here is nice pic of Teaparker with his tea books.
