I changed it from city population to metropolitan area population, given the comments I have received this is probably used more.

According to US Census Bureau 2006 estimates it is the largest city with 794,555 inhabitants, 2nd is Miami with 404,048. I don't think that changes in a year.
More likely is that you refer to the largest metropolitan area which is Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Miami Beach with 5,463,867.
But this game is about cities, the names of the metropolitan areas would never fit into the cluebox...
All numbers from www.census.gov

You are absolutely right. The data I used must have been old or something. I changed it according to what you wrote. Thanks for telling me.

Anchorage is the largest city in Alaska, not Juneau. Kansas City is the largest in Missouri, not St. Louis. Columbia is the largest in South Carolina, not Greenville.

I think it is the old problem of city vs metro population.
According to http://www.citypopulation.de/USA-Cities.html Newark has approx. 280' inhabitants (city size) and Trenton metro area has approx. 370' inhabitants according to http://www.citypopulation.de/USA-Metro.html.
I guess Newark is a part of NY metro area since there is no separate listing of a Newark metro area.
