I wanted to add that I removed that question to avoid any confusion.

Thank you JoshD, for pointing that out. This question seems correct according to my source, however, you do have a point and I can't always trust the Internet which I used as reference.

In the sentence "The scholar LEARNED his lesson.", I believe this is the active voice, not the passive voice. Not sure.
Enjoyed the game!

Capitalize the HAVE instead of come and that will solve the problem with the question.

Dal  2 years ago

Your right, Ronald, "Have" would be the auxiliary verb!

Dal  2 years ago

Thanks Ronald!

I believe the answer to the question your referring to is still correct:

"We have come."

"have" is an auxiliary verb used to help the verb "come" to express a time partly past and partly present.

I played this again to see other questions. Check out We have COME. I would say that Come is intransitive. The answer says auxiliary. Have would be the auxiliary verb.

I think this is a great game. I taught English to 7th and 8th graders years ago. This game stumped me on two questions. A material noun is a new one for me. Older vintage grammar books make no mention of it but the Internet googles it up. In those days it was proper, common and collective. Every game on this website teaches old dogs new tricks. Thanks!

Good game. I thought it tough, though.

Had to think about some of the clues for awhile.

I was considering not publishing this game, but maybe someone will find it worthwhile. Good luck, I had a hard time playing this game, the questions are very specific.
