whoops, I meant Sydney was up where Brisbane is.

Many of the locations are really off. As others have mentioned, Mecca, Cape Town, Costa Rica (not even close) but also Sydney is up where Canberra is, Egypt is too far South, the Himalays are further West, Tehran is further Northwest, New Delhi is further West, and Kabul further North. Since this is apparently a student quiz I should think you would want to be more exact. But that's just me.

Mecca is far more west than it is placed on this map.

Because of the big dots its more of a guess very often. A bigger map would do it an using dots with arrows where to things are to close together (i.e. Cape Town and Cape of good hope)
