I like the gulfs and islands you included, but what are Euboea and Ibiza? I think many sites listed below are better known. What about these . . .
islands: Malta, the Rock of Gibraltar, and Tyre (city too)?
volcanoes: Mt. Vesuvius and Mt. Etna?
seas: Black Sea and Sea of Azov?
ancient cities: Alexandria, Ephesus, Halicarnasus, Olympus, Troy, Sparta, Carthage, Istanbul, and Pompeii?
modern cities: Venice, Monte Carlo, Tunis, and Lyon?
I especially think the first 4 ancient cities should have been included, since each had one of the 7 Wonders of the ancient world (like Rhodes). Pompeii, Venice, and the Rock of Gibraltar are geographically unique also.
