Author's Game Description
The loose confederation that existed in the Baltic region from 1228 to 1560. Here it is in the early years.

Kathy and BoboLo. Thanks for the feedback -- and the kind words.
I may use this method more in the future, as it doesn't seem to make things more difficult, and can at least partially solve the dot text problems mentioned earlier.
But sometimes, when you're the game maker, you don't know how it will look to people who didn't see the construction. Always good to get the opinion of others, especially of respected members.
Thanks again.

I agree with Kathy - this is a cracking game!

Hey there, Tickman! It's a really beautiful game and the dots work very well - you have made it with great care, and it's easy to follow. Another triumph for you!

I've done something a bit unusual with the dots this time by leaving part of the text on the map. So instead of having the dot text read "Teutonic Order" or "Bishopric of Dorpat" , I've eliminated the "Teutonic" and "Dorpat" on the map text, leaving the rest behind.
So now, they appear "[dot] Order" and "Bishopric of [dot]". It's one way to get around the limitations of the text in the clues, and reduce the right-hand cut-off problem.
Let me know what you think about this.

really nicely done !
I was (as usual) wasting time on wikipedia gathering information on Estonia for my next vacations when I found this map. I told to myself: it would be great for a PG game, unless Tickman already did it. And I was right !!! :)))
I couldn't have done better than you, very nice job as usual !
