Which do you think is the stumper? (I get it that a stumper is a state that you don't find easy to identify at first view in this case?)

There is one state in this game that is a stumper until it starts. Maybe you could put all the stumpers together. But this one is the greatest one because it has my home state in it. It is where the sun shines bright. My old KY Home. This summer there has been little rain!

Yes, or by any angle ;) I'll try to do a harder version on the morrow. Thanks for your suggestions!

And then, you could also try rotating them 180 degrees...

I don't know how easy "too easy" would be, but yes, I found it pretty easy. Before I clicked the start button, I was pretty sure which states I was looking at (the Colorado/Wyoming problem not being enough to bother me as they were not in the same game). But really, many Americans don't know their geography that well.
For a more difficult game, you could use the following set:
Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, both Dakotas, New Hampshire, Vermont (which one is narrow at top?), Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina. Maybe a couple more semi-rectangular ones.

Is it too easy for Americans?

Oh, there has been lots of rain here in Germany, and the summer was very short. Fortunately I spent most of this year's summer in my wife's homeland, Bulgaria, where it has been too hot to breathe sometimes. Well, they have a Black Sea to cool down luckily :)
