I thought this would be of interest for anyone interested on the status of pluto:
"Pluto, is the second-largest known dwarf planet in the Solar System (after Eris) and the tenth-largest body observed directly orbiting the Sun. Originally classified as a planet, Pluto is now considered the largest member[6] of a distinct region called the Kuiper belt. Like other members of the belt, it is composed primarily of rock and ice and is relatively small: approximately a fifth the mass of the Earth's moon and a third its volume."

Wow. A lot of repetition that Pluto isn't a Planet. What I want to know, is why don't they just add a couple of planets, and say that Pluto is a planet. It seems that it would be easier to add planets than to remove them, and the word planet is just a word, without a fixed meaning.
