This is harder than it looks at first. Very easy to blunder onto the wrong dot.

famisamis:
I will take your suggestion, and reset the scores before too many play it.
I thought the game was stupid at first, but the dot placement does make it different from the other US state game(s).
Thanks for the feedback, and I will delete that other game, which actually is really lame.

I think you should reset the high scores and keep this game published.
The way the dots are arranged provide a unique challenge. It's a good game.

I think the general consensus on the site is that if the game is changed the scores should be reset. I think I haven't been very good about this sometimes. In fact, I didn't even think about it until someone suggested it in another game. My changes were little so I didn't think about it. But, I reset them now when I make changes.
If you want to play some well-made games, look for ones by David (the site creator). Doffa and niklas have made some good ones as well...and that's only naming a few. There are a lot of quality games here and it's easy to find ones where the creators really take it seriously. They really try to do their research and make sure it's a playable game.

I have no idea whether other people are cheating. I don't think they are, at least not on a large scale. Maybe somebody has, but not most people.
On the other hand, it does raise a question: If you retool a game (perhaps in response to comments from other users who suggest additions), should you reset the scores? It would be natural not to: adding one or two points doesn't seem like much. But it certainly could make a time difference.
And I agree with you: for me, being first isn't the point: I just enjoy the games. But I know that some people are very competitive. If you change a game in this way, are you making it unfair in the sense that people play at different times?
My question to you now is:
Should I reset the scores here, since I obviously did cheat?
