The same kind of spelling one would have when speaking a mix of Spanish and Italian... (...and Cebuano!)

These are the most commonly used words in daily conversation and writing. Cebuano has a lot of words that are almost exactly the same, but with slight differences in writing.

In daily conversation, people of the Visayas use pure Cebuano to count from 0 to 10 mainly when at the market. Because of the complexity of the numbers 11 and so on, the Spanish-Cebuano number system is used. There is a slight difference in writing between pure Spanish numbers and Spanish-Cebuano, but the pronunciation is the same. When asking the time, Spanish-Cebuano is also used.
